Hannah Montana is the new teen pop sensation and everyone loves her. She travels the world with her Songwriter dad Robby performing for her fans. But unknown to her fans she is a normal girl wearing a blonde wig because she doesn't want to lead a celebrity life all the time. In the day she's Miley Stewart being a normal teenager and at night when she dones a blonde wig she is Hannah Montana rocking out the stage and inspiring kids everywhere. As Hannah she gets to live the dream of being a popstar but underneath it all she also gets to be normal.
Miley Stewart is a typical 14 yr old teenager. She just wants to live her life normally so that's why nobody except her friends Lilly and Oliver and family know about her double life as Hannah Montana. She just a regular kid who goes to school and faces life's challenges like any normal kid. She gets to experience the best of both worlds because as Miley she is a regular girl living with brother Jackson and Songwriter dad Robby but as Hannah she's a star. Sometimes Miley thinks it would be easier just to be Hannah Montana but then she realises that she would not get anytime with her friends or family.
Lilly Truscott is Miley's bestest friend ever. Her and Oliver are Miley's only friends who know about Miley's double life as Hannah Montana. Lilly and Miley are hardly ever apart and Miley knows Lilly will keep all her secrets as she trust Lilly with her life. Lilly and Miley are complete opposite but the best of friends and even know they fall out they always seem to make up. Lilly also adopts a disguise as Lola Luftnagle to go to Hannah Montana concerts with Miley. Lilly also gets the best of both worlds because she gets the perks of Hannah's fame as Lola but also gets her normal life as Lilly.
Oliver Oken is another one of Miley's best friends. He also knows about Miley's double life as Hannah Montana. Oliver used to fancy Hannah Montana but when he found out the truth about who Hannah Montana really was, he didn't any more because Miley is his friend. Oliver is the stupid one out of the friends, he always doing stupid things and saying stupid stuff. He nicknamed himself Smokin' Oken and thinks all the girls are after him. He acts all cocky around the guys but when its just him, Lilly and Miley you see that Oliver is really just a goofball. Oliver also recently doned a diquise as Mike Standly 3rd because he felt left out.
Jackson Stewart is Miley's older and weird brother. He knows about Miley's double life as Hannah Montana and sometimes feels left out because of her but Miley and her dad tries as hard as they can to not let Jackson get left out. Also Jackson Grandma makes sure that he is never left out. He really loves his sister and would do anything for her and also the same goes Miley will always look out for her brother. Miley and Jackson also fight a lot but end up making up because they realise that they love each other and would not be able to live without each other. Jackson sometimes uses Hannah's fame to impress girls.
Robby Stewart is Miley and Jackson's super cool dad. He is Miley's songwriter and manager. He tries to make sure he divides his attention between his kids even though its hard as Hannah Montana takes up a lot of time. He also make sure his kids learn about growing up and the consequences when things go wrong. He also loves both his children and looks out for them when they need his help. Robby can sometimes be a little hard on the kids but in the end he realises that he needs to let them go as there growing up. Robby also used to be a singer but gave it up for his family.
